Apart from the art and history in Kurashiki, this place is also great for shopping. Near the station (at the back entrance) you will find Ario shopping mall. And if you walk through the mall, you will get to a big outlet with great prices, especially during the summer sale (last week of June and middle of July). There are many international brands, including Adidas, Nike, Lacoste, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.

So, plan shopping trips to Kurashiki and enjoy great discounts. Just be careful, you can end up buying something too big to return home.
